How to activate a new eSIM

For new customers wanting a new eSIM service and existing Telstra customers wanting to add an additional eSIM service.

  3. Activate

The My Telstra app lets you activate your eSIM, manage your account, update payment details, view your invoices and upcoming payments for our Upfront plans. 

Compatible devices

Most devices produced post 2020 are eSIM compatible (or dual SIM). Devices purchased overseas may not be eSIM compatible. 

How to transfer from a physical SIM to eSIM

For existing Telstra customers with a physical SIM card.

  1. Open My Telstra app

  2. Transfer to eSIM

  3. Complete activation

Note: Your physical SIM will stop working and cannot be restored. However, you can switch back to physical SIM at any time by ordering a replacement physical SIM card.
